The mountains of Överkalix are easy to ascend and offer strikingly beautiful views. They are ideal for walking, hiking, running, biking, or skiing, and the surroundings are so gorgeous. No need for heavy equipment, a pair of comfy shoes will do nicely and there are day expeditions suitable for the whole family. There are also expeditions led by knowledgeable and helpful guides, but then again lots of nature to explore and discover on your own.
