Överkalix summer market always happens on the third weekend in July and is an important tradition for both Överkalix residents, returnees and visitors and every year at this time the town's population grows noticeably. This year's market day 2025 falls on July 18 - 20.

Of course, there is shopping here, but also entertainment and activities for all ages. The market is arranged along Storgatan.

On market street you will find Italian sausages, cheeses from mountain cows in Vuollerim, sea buckthorn products and pralines from Kiruna. But also stone jewelry from Tornedalen, handmade candles from Överkalix, mouth-blown glass from Haparanda, pewter jewelry from both Överkalix and Övertorneå and hand-woven textiles from Kalix and lots more. Activities: Bubble Football, try biathlon, arm wrestling with Heidi, magic and balloon figures, Combat archery tag (bow and arrow competition).

There will also be a Pride parade and this year a special Överkalix flag will be chosen during the market.
